THE BRIGHT GOLD NECKLACE

(ADVENTURE STORY)

Lara and Marco were brave explorers. They were in the jungle, searching for a gold necklace that once belonged to an ancient king. The necklace had been lost for a thousand years. Lara and Marco had a book. They trekked through the jungle, across dangerous volcanoes. 

 

"Marco," cried Lara, "watch out for the tiger!".

They finally arrived at a lost city. "Look, there's a tunnel," said Marco. The tunnel took them to a palace, deep under the city. In the middle of the palace there was a stone with symbols on it. Marco and Lara pushed away the heavy stone and gasped as they saw the glittering, gold necklace.
